It's been a busy year. Busy is good. As a business owner, busy is great. We often say "It's better than the alternative!" Busy pays the bills. Busy means you are doing something right. Busy is validation. Busy is the goal. However, busy doesn't often feed the soul, and busy rarely inspires.Read More
Last week I decided to mix a little business with family fun and attended the first ever Fstoppers Workshops which were held at Atlantis Resort in the Bahamas. It was fantastic. My family and I were able to spend some quality time away from our every day lives and I had the opportunity to learn from some amazing talents and hang with lots of industry pals. My mind has not fully recovered yet from being away for a week but I wanted to jump in here and share a few photos from my trip. I'll probably add more this week.
As an artist, I do my best to surround myself and work with talented creative professionals as often as I can. I usually come away having learned something and it's always a pant load of fun.
That was certainly the case when uber talented Nashville singer/songwriter and Little Rock native Charity Vance stopped by my studio back in April.
Charity's infectious personality and general passion for life was immediately evident from the moment she walked in the door and is certainly reflected in the images we created that day.
I'm looking forward to my next opportunity to work with this talented young artist!
Charity's latest single is aptly named "Picture Perfect" and will most probably be your new summer jam! It is currently available for pre-order on iTunes. Buy it RIGHT NOW by following this link.

As a working photographer and artist, I am always seeking inspiration and information from those that I admire and respect. There are many photography courses that are worth the time and money and many that are not. I want to tell you about one that most certainly is.
About a year and a half ago, I purchased world renowned portrait and headshot photographer Peter Hurley's DVD, The Art Behind the Headshot. No one teaches client interaction like Peter. This DVD radically changed the way I approach photographing human beings and as a result jump started my career.
If you photograph people at all, I highly recommend this DVD. You can purchase it by clicking...HERE!
